Dear Dr. Waffles,
Something weird is going on with my people. They’ve redecorated the den in pastel colours, put a strange cage in it and the female’s stomach appears to growing quite large. They’re acting weird. Last time this happened I was kicked out and passed from house to house until I found this new family. I love these two and don’t want to lose them. I’m in a panic, what do I do?
There’s no reason why you should expect the same thing to happen – your people are just gearing up to reproduce. This is a normal part of their lifecycle, do not be alarmed. Soon there will be a tiny version of them in the house and there’s no reason why you won’t bond with the new addition in the same way you and the others have. It’s also a fact that just having you around has been proven to lessen the little one’s risk of developing allergies as he/she grows up. So having you in the house is a good thing! Get ready Baxter, you’re going to have a new best friend.
